2016 Awards

There was a party theme for this year’s Pinders as host Jon Chapman took the audience back to their childhood with memories of party games and jelly & ice cream.

As well as cake and goody bags, the audience was royally entertained by two recent stars of Britain’s Got Talent – magician Jamie Raven and ventriloquist Steve Hewlett – who accompanied Arthur Lager to present the six trophies.

Joanna Lumley was also in attendance, albeit on screen and in cardboard cut-out format, as patron of The Respite Association, which was the main recipient of the audience’s generous donations.  This small charity provides much-needed holidays for full-time carers, and those they care for.

Nobody was in a hurry to leave the party and there were three hours of intense networking before the guests headed home to bed – or in many cases to the pub around the corner – as the party spirit continued.
